We've been working alongside East Gippsland Shire Council to help re-set their 2019/2020 bushfires recovery focus.
In the years since the fires, this Council, and the communities within the municipality, have been involved in one of the most complex and significant recovery programs from fire in recent times.
As recovery always is, it's been challenging. But this Council, and the impacted communities, have a lot of heart.
They have continued to build an incredible amount of wisdom in recovery, and in community and organisational resilience.
The experience in this municipality is worth capturing and listening to.
As part of a program check-in and re-set, we've had the pleasure of facilitating an in-person workshop with the broader recovery team and working through a number of themes and actions they can use to guide the next steps.
We're looking forward to seeing how this Council continues the recovery journey with a renewed focus.
