The team is having a great time working with the Barwon Coast Committee of Management on an Emergency Management Review and Training Program.
It recently kicked off with a desktop training exercise which focussed on current risks and climate projections and provided an overview of operational plans across four caravan park sites.
It included an overview of the roles, responsibilities and resources of the emergency management team and finished with a scenario-based learning module.
Our Director Michelle Richards was able to share her own experience from working in the emergency management sector, and drew on the wisdom and experiences of the participants to facilitate the practical application of roles and responsibilities. Using examples and scenarios grounds the theory better and brings it to life.
This is a team focussed on growing the organisational maturity in the emergency management space. That enthusiasm makes for great work.
