Michelle Richards

Director

Michelle has worked in both state and local government for almost two decades, with extensive experience in delivering governance, risk, community, education, economic and recovery programs. 

 

Her background means she understands the requirements for effective programming and strategic delivery, with a strong focus on legislative compliance. She has a keen interest in working with organisations to build capacity and implement best practice governance. 

Michelle has a strong passion for empowering communities to enhance the liveability of all residents by improving relationships, fostering resilience and building on social capital.  

Most recently she worked for Pyrenees Shire Council as Manager Governance, Risk and Compliance and MRM.  

 

Michelle has performed a number of high impact emergency management positions in local government including the management of the Scotsburn Fire Recovery, supporting the Community Recovery Committee in receiving two State Recovery Awards, and in her role as Municipal Recovery Manager (MRM) and as the Municipal Emergency Management Officer (MEMO). 

 

Michelle has a Master of Business Administration and is IAP2 qualified.
